I know that our societal feeling seems to be that each child deserves his/her private room. But sometimes that’s just not possible. We ended up with our two sons sharing a room. Some pluses and some minuses to that, I guess. But it worked our OK in the end.
my second baby was late and at an appointment to consider inducing labor they joked to quit watching the news because they could hear it, and would hide in there forever.
My first child’s name is Michael, and when the third child was on the way twelve years later, we did build a bedroom in the basement for Mike. We made it into kind of den with a sleeper-sofa that he could unfold at night and have a place to sit (which is not on a bed) during the day. He really liked it.
Quite often dates are way off. My February baby was born on The Ides of March (3 weeks late). My grandson’s middle name was supposed to be August but as the month passed, we all wondered how that would work. He was finally born the last day of August and earned his middle name.
I was born during an Indian summer – two days before JFK was assassinated. My mom said she’d hoped like heck November would bring cooler temps, but it didn’t, and made for one miserable pregnancy, she said.

I’ve never seen a mother so unhappy to be pregnant as Elly was with April.

1. Denial and isolation.
2. Anger
3. Bargaining;
4. Depression;
And today we have:
5. Acceptance.
I think Elly has covered all 5 of the stages of grief in the last 2 weeks.

Lynn’s Comments:
All of these thoughts were based on the “what if?” question.

John and Elly act surprised; do they know where babies come from?
