That’s a pretty solid pile of leaves if that’s only as far down as John is sinking in them. I do like the way he checks to see if the coast is clear before he lies in the leaf pile. You don’t want to ruin your public reputation by showing that you can have fun.

I don’t know about that part of Canada. But here in Western Oregon, all the leaves are soaking wet when it is time to rake them up. I for one wouldn’t want to fall in a pile of them.

Lucky for John he doesn’t have allergies; I’d be sneezing my head off if I tried this…

El: “I see you have been lying in the leaves again.”

John: “How did you know?”

El: The leaves on your a…(aaaaaAAAAANNNN we’ll leave it right there… )

Never grow up!

Wow. A HIGH pile of leaves. They must have numerous trees in their yard to yield that much leaves.

You’re supposed to run and jump into them John.

Sometimes you have to leaf your work and enjoy yourself.

I used to like raking leaves – before we bought a 2 acre property, mostly wooded. Now it’s the bane of my life.

Growing old is inevitable, growing up however is optional. lol

Well, if I rake it up, I can mess it up.

You have to grow older but, you don’t have to grow up! ;o]

Within every adult lives the heart of a 6 year old……… ;-)

Wasn’t there one where Michael jumped into a pile of leaves, then thought a monster was going to eat him. Michael grabs the rake and ruins the leaf pile.

Michael: “I got you, leaf monster, you will not eat any more kids!”

Indoors. John is sitting in an easy chair reading a newspaper

Elly: “John, the yard is a mess with leaves. I thought you told me you were going to rake it.”

John: "I did rake it, Elly. I spent all afternoo…John suddenly turns around and it looks like he has two heads

“WHERE’S MICHAEL??!!”

As you get older the running and jumping part gets harder but the falling down part gets easier.

I have a photograph of my then 4 year old son in a pile of leaves like that. Same position and a look of pure ecstasy on his face. (We were visiting my MIL in Spokane and the leaves had just fallen the day before.)

A kid at heart!

Good thing a leaf-gobbler didn’t sneak in there to eat you! You gotta watch out for them. They are sneaky cryptids. They only come out in Autumn the rest of the time they hibernate under ground.

I would love to do that. But I’m too afraid bugs will crawl on me

At my age it is an easy recline and then hope someone comes by to help me up!
