Isn’t it interesting that the “Sport Hero” always confuses the fans with management (the club).
The fans offer (sometimes too much) love and support to the players. The management provides money and perks, both feed the insatiable players ego.
Or do the players resent the fact the fans (other than “jump on the wagon” variety) supported the team before they came and will so after they are gone?
Can’t agree with this one. Mr. James played his heart out in Cleveland. He left everything on the court the years he played on a very poor team and took them to the playoffs year after year. A decision to move to a team that would have a better chance of winning a championship is hardly a quality that should earn him the “Jerk of the Year.” He is the third reigning NBA MVP to jump teams the following year. I feel badly for Cleveland but the team management should have surrounded him with quality players and he would still be there.
Tiger is not a better choice as his shenanigans had nothing really to do with sports (other than his money and fame), whereas LeBron made a fool of himself with the ESPN idiocy of “The Decision”.

They must be holding the ceremony in Cleveland.

Next year’s winner has to be Harvey Almorn Updyke. Or maybe it’d be best to never mention his name again.

Fine with me. I have cousins outside Cleveland and they were pretty upset.

The right decision for the fans.

Unfortunately, the strip isn’t carried in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, our only remaining daily newspaper.
I will try to get the word out to as many of my fellow Clevelanders as I can.

Let me guess: the award is made of unvarnished brass so that it will quickly tarnish like the recipient’s reputation.

Good choice, but wouldn’t Tiger Woods be up for it too?

Also, it’s not so much that he left Cleveland, more as to HOW.
