How do we know the “stuff them in our mouths whole” trait isn’t from the Cro-magnons? Maybe Mom’s being the Neanderthal here.

Speaking from experience, being homo sapiens sapiens is overrated.

Wrong! Strip away the trappings of modern civilzation, (as in right after a natural disaster) and it would be hard to tell contemperary humans from Neanderthals.

This is one Plugger son that will live with his parents until they die because: 1.) his mother is making him completely helpless rather than teaching him independence and 2.) he’ll never be able to find a wife willing to put up with and do the kinds of things for him that his mother does … like cutting up his pancakes for him!

H. sapiens neanderthalensis had a brain case 20% larger than ours, and there is some evidence that part of the reason they couldn’t compete with Cro Magnon (H. sapiens sapiens, a.k.a. us) is that they were not sufficiently aggressive.

My husband (gasp) still mops up gravy with his bread. I can’t take him anywhere. I think he is a Neanderthal throwback.
