Cyber-harassment is a serious issue in high schools, and has resulted in suicide. For all the ridicule this comic attracts, it does have the courage to look at these taboo subjects.
It would be hard to imagine Archie and the gang at Riverdale High handling this one.
So the guy went through all the trouble to register a domain name and create a whole website just to attack one person?
I would assume the rest of the domain name was a derogatory name for a gay person. But based on P2, it’s implying he’s a child molester or something??? Where did he come up with that from?
P3: “Guess those kids need that edgy slacker look.” Yeah, considering sunglasses kid is wearing a shirt with an atom logo he’s probably trying to change his nerd image a little at a time.
Finally, a little drama here—that’s what I’m talking about… a little life to this dreadfull story line. But what does he mean you can’t deny the basic premise? This could get really strange, in a non-Paul sense of the word.
Dang I read it as MOLE-ster first, like the animal. Wondered if it was like that R. Gere rumor. And being called a molester of any kind only BORDERS on unkind?

Lini is so upset he removed his necktie between panels 1 and 2.

This could get ugly – Lini’s going to blog that dude, then tweet him.

@chiphilton: the mistake is showing his collar so tight in panel one; yesterday showed a loose collar with a tie.

P3: Most school systems forbid wearing sunglasses and caps during school hours. Guess those kids need that edgy slacker look.

Well, didn’t see that coming. I have to say that was actually a pretty good plot twist. Credit when it’s due.

My guess is that he’s implying Lini is gay, and relying on the incorrect stereotype that gays are more likely to molest children…

How did a URL like www.liniisa*.com get past the school computer filters?
thejudge over 13 years ago
Unless Gil has administrator rights!!! Ah hah!

If the hacker turns out to be Cortes, the gay=paedophile stereotype will be replaced by the Christian=bigot stereotype.

What if it’s TRUE? Why hasn’t anyone told Molly yet? She could be in danger!
