Needs a bunch of air inlet holes around the brim to encourage air circulation around the head. This is the principle behind the long robes worn in hot and humid climates. The loose, flowing robes encourage air movement around the body. Air is drawn in at the bottom of the robes. The air warms inside the robes and rises to escape at the top, providing a cooling air flow. It’s also been shown that darker colour robes can encourage the hot air to rise faster, which is why many wearers have darker or black robes.

It’s a stovepipe hat without the stove!

Heads generate a lot of heat. The hat probably would be more effective if it worked like an exhaust fan.

The stovepipe would hold a bunch of ice. Just refill it at the pop machine when you go by.
