Maybe the dog has a “mom” and everything will be OK.

Often the dog gets better care than the guy in the hospital due to kind people watching out for them.

When I broke my ankle in the park, they put Doug in the back of the police car until my wife and daughter came to get him. They still laugh about it, he was just sitting looking out the window like a kid in trouble.

Those would be my questions too! Hopefully the dog has a mom, or another dad, so they can help each other!

But the squirrel attempting to cross the road didn’t make it…

When I worked for our vet we were the interim shelter for strays brought in by the police. We’d keep ‘em for a few days so the police could see if anybody was looking for ’em, then they’d go to a local (no-kill) shelter. Most communities of any size have such arrangements. The real problem is when the dog is frightened and runs off. THAT’s when I worry!

Infotainment’s job is to keep you curious enough for “updates” to endure further solicitations, whatever the medium.
