Well, not completely poisonous, but it is green! I think that’s a clear warning sign.

Kale recipe for the Australian bush traveler: Place kale and an axe head in a pot of water over the fire. Simmer until the axe head is tender … Originally presented as a recipe for cooking an Australian Cockatoo (bird) but also works here.

Pres. Geo. H.W. Bush should have taken a stand on Kale, instead of Broccoli.

I have never eaten kale. I’m not opposed to trying it, but have not found the need to do so.

Real humans eat anything, including a lot of stuff that either starts out as poisonous, and sometimes still is.

There are traitors among us men.. probably sold out to some pretty in a revealing leopard skin robe. However science has come to our rescue.. Kale is a No No if you are on a common blood thinner so we still have an excuse if you are able to fib a little.

Hey – kale is very good if you make Kale Soup like the Portuguese. Fresh kale; diced potatoes; white beans; diced onions-sauteed; LOTSA- linguica and chorizo( Rhode Island style)LOTS. Add water and simmer till potatoes are tender. Put the kale in last just before serving. Great Stuff! the Sausage kills the taste of the kale and the kale makes it slightly less deadly.

Back in the day when I managed a restaurant, we used kale for display purposes for our salads. The dang stuff never wilted or lost it’s color. We’d have never considered eating it!
