“Silly Wabbit” is from a Trix commercial so really good time to leave.

Saturday Morning cartoons in the 1960s were the best! My brother and I used to eat our breakfast (cereal) in front of the TV on TV trays.

Well put Rover! I just walked my boys abut am going to take them out to play in a bit as soon as I drink my coffee. They are both laying here with me, living for me, so it is only fair that I live for them too! xoxo <3

The rest of Rover’s quote is: “…. I will die for you. I am your dog.”

That is profound, Mr. Basset. Truly. Great job getting across a deep concept in so few words.

Unless you grew up in the 60’s or early 70’s you might not appreciate that cartoons weren’t on a dozen channels 24×7. Other than a few shown on local stations, the big blockbuster of cartoons was every week on Saturday morning from about 7am to noon. Kids lived for that dose of weekly shows. By noon the limited programming was shifting to sports, American Bandstand, and other shows beyond childrens’ ages. The Flintstones was actually the first cartoon show to be put on TV during prime time.

Go Rover! I get my grandkids outside in all weather as much as possible. They get way too much electronic time otherwise. Plus, they love being outdoors. Yea!
