Well I’m torn, on the one hand Hubbs was being an idiot, on the other he’s letting his chance for happiness slip away…of course losing happiness is a side effect of prolonged exposure to Clo-Chi.
Poor Hubbs. Playing jokes on people is not right? I learned the hard way. When I started school, my older sister and I had to learn English. We then taught mom and dad and then our small brother. Of course we taught him the wrong words, being brats that we were. Poor kid went to school and they thought he was retarded. My sister and I couldn’t sit for like a month after our plot was discovered and of course we had to work long hours to fix it.
Clueless oaf is turning into a lovable doofus because he’s willing to sacrifice what he wants to make sure Ellie is happy. Two things spring to mind that might go hand in hand. If he can’t see the resemblance he might need glasses despite how good he is at football. And once the reveal occurs is he going to survive the epiphany?

Yeah Hubbs they would, if Ellie was capable of parthenogenesis. That’s the word of the day: “Parthenogenesis”.

So the ceiling fan incident ended well, I presume.

Now I’m suddenly imagining Ellie giving birth to her own clone babies.

Yes, you were, but the good news is that Al is not well equipped for fatherhood.

Hubbs is so very wrong…and yet so very right.

I ship “Allie”

“Al” knows how to take care of baby. [S]he made a big impression on Hubbs early in this fabulous story.

Hubbs is an extremely likable guy. :D

Hubbs, in his imagination, is a bit sexist.
Al, being male, is taller than Ellie.

This is the sort of turn I like in this Al/Ellie thing.

So do you, Hubbs… So do you.

Proving once again that Hubbs is a total doofus…or perhaps that he needs his eyes checked

I find funny that Hubbs never though that Ellie and Al could be twins.
