So many players have ended their career prematurely because they chose the glitz and glamour of NY or LA over the chance to win titles. Notice it’s always the Yankees, Giants, and Rangers in NY and not the Mets, Jets, and Islands. Ironic because the Islanders have, except in the past 15 years, always been better on average than the Rangers since entering the NHL. In LA, it’s always the Kings not the Ducks, the Dodgers not the Angels, and the Lakers not the Clippers. At least with LA teams, it’s a wash which will be better in a given year. I understand a lot of the media bias is because of some of those teams being much older than the other, but it’s still asinine and shallow-minded.

Sorry to burst a bubble but the time of any of these being a national event is over. They might be the excuse for and the background noise to a friendly gathering (SuperBowl especially) but national event? HA!

Now that the TBBT is off the air, having Fox go dark would save electricity thus slowing climate change.

Please explain to me how an something called the “World” Series can be just a regional event? Was the 2016 Series a regional event because two midwestern teams were playing? Or was it a national event because the Chicago Cubs hadn’t won a Series since 1908 and the Cleveland Indians hadn’t won since 1947?

Have Trump tweet that it’s Yankees=Dodgers. That will make it so.

Who needs voodoo when there’s plenty of unethical umpires to do their bidding for them. If the league wants Dodgers/Yankees bad enough, it will happen.

Earl Weaver tried to put a curse on the Red Sox in 75 with a witch doctor. Didn’t work.

I would not be surprised if FOX would try something like this, and MLB would be assisting them.

Yeah, neither the networks, especially ESPN, nor the major leagues would EVER, EVER do ANYTHING to increase ratings.

    I mean NEVER EVER.

    Never.
