I have no sympathy for you Frank. My wife set me up after our Bassett and Lab passed. She showed me a picture of a dog in a Vermont shelter and told me it required and application process. I agreed thinking “No Way!” we’d be approved. Twenty minutes later, we’re approved…..Two weeks later, after we have the dog, I find out my wife’s cousin was a benefactor to the shelter and of course she was used as a reference. The “Fix” was in rightfrom the beginning. Looking back, I’m really pleased to have Casey, an Aussie/Pyrenees mix. Very Big Dog….long hair…and a real sweetie….and he came to northern Maine from Alabama where he had been put in a no-kill shelter at around 3 months age.

Frank throw away the Debbie Downer pills and move on ! You now have the chance of a new beginning ! …. Enjoy it for it will not last long . ;-)
