All this drama with Chet and Charlie is really taking it’s toll on Mama Roh. She looks so tired she can barely get both hands into the frame.

Check on them … for why?

“What do you think — should we go check on the kids?”

“No. We should check on my disintegrating expression. Some of the people in the background look more complete than I do.”

P1, Chance already has his left shoe on and now it looks like he’s about to put on his other left shoe.

P2, There’s no Chance I’m going to that party as long as the parents are there.

P3, No, we should check with the artist to find out why we have no eyes.

In all reality , will the Thorps show up at the party ?

Thank goodness Hiawatha is back to being black. I was getting worried there.

Those sloppy joes are bringing her to tears. Chet is looking for somebody to scream at, but instead pilfers the medicine cabinet.

P2- Give Rod Whigham props for including the showers in the background. Nice when R & W throw us snarkers a bone from time to time.

P4: “…um, I mean ‘yeah’….let’s go check on the kids…..they probably would like to kick it with us and chill while we tell them stories about what it was like when we were in high school…”

P3: another sad-sack woman who’s with a jerky guy with facial hair

Yeah, good idea Chet, go check on Charlie and all his friends, that will have him calling you “dad” in no time

Wait, that sweaty kid announcing the party was Charlie? Or they’re at someone else’s house?

Don’t check on the kids. The kids are alright.

From reading the colorized version I think Mom’s supposed to be Oriental. (if someone else has mentioned this earlier I missed it)

P1 – Why a special invitation to Chance? When he invited “the entire team”, I would have assumed that included Chance.

P2 – Nobody has made the “twin powers” joke lately, so I’ll do it. Wonder Twin powers, activate!

P3 – Poor Mrs. A-hole. She has to spend her entire time in this strip with her hands up pleading her husband to just shut up. She also looks older and older every day.

So this was a Friday night game. And without advance notice, all the players and parents are invited to a party? By the time everyone showers and meets up with their families (who had no idea either), is this party starting at like midnight? Because if the party is the next day, his “I’m whipped” statement doesn’t make sense. And because Hiawatha saved the game, Chance shouldn’t show up to…..what? Overshadow him? I DON’T GET IT!

And is Chance possibly keeping his distance going to be a thing? Is being “whipped” just an excuse? Aren’t all the guys who played whipped? Or does he mean the other kind of whipped?

Chance probably lives out of district and doesn’t want Charlies Dad to talk to him. The backup becomes the starter

P3: Apparently the key party is still de rigueur in Milford high society

Isn’t Chet a board member? Have a feeling he’ll try and find a way for Charlie to get a starting spot
