Not only are golf balls expensive, the golf range’s sports shop is no doubt in the habit of recovering lost balls, cleaning them up and selling them to unsuspecting golfers.;-D
My dad played golf into his 90s and I don’t think he ever in his life purchased a golf ball. He would go out in the woods along the local course and collect lost balls. We used to have literally buckets of them in our basement!
My dad was notorious about lost golf balls. . .his and anybody else’s. My apartment backed up to a golf course, which was separated by a chain link fence. Every night my dad would fit a club through a fence opening and snag errant golf balls. Must have been something about growing up during the Depression. . .or else Ralph’s mind set.
I haven’t bought a golf ball in the last half century. Every time I go into the rough or woods looking for one that went astray, I find 2 or 3 others, usually better than the one I was looking for.

Did anyone else read the first frame like it was someone yelling, “FOUND, FOUND”?

Too bad my F-I-L isn’t still around. He’d find 8 or 10 of them in about a minute. None of them would be yours, but he’d find them.

Wally has one posted on another tree after coming back from the vet, and he’s really shedding tears.
