AB’s sad ending prompted me to google: tragic flaw literary definition. “Tragic flaw is a literary device that can be defined as a trait in a character leading to his downfall, and the character is often the hero of the literary piece. This trait could be the lack of self-knowledge, lack of judgment, and often it is hubris (pride).”

Maybe George Blanda was in that group. The Houston Oilers traded him away when he hit 40 because he we “over the hill.” So he went to Oakland and scored another 100 points or so. Mostly as a kicker but he stepped in as quarterback a few times and racked up a few touchdowns as well.

There’s a very LARGE study group of NFL players whose (emotional and intellectual) ages were reversed down to VERY young children, indeed……….

I haven’t really followed the NBA for a few years. I’d thought Carter had maybe gone to China or retired until reading this strip. And he just signed with Atlanta yesterday for a 22ND season. Wow!
