My heart bleeds for you man. I lost my car to Hurricane Irene. I raced home to get a “safe” parking spot away from all the trees along the street and ended up crushed by a tree from a neighboring yard. It was so tall it squashed 7 cars all in a row. You would have thought parking in a back alley behind an apt complex would have been relatively safe.
The first hurricane I went thru was Hurricane David in 1979. It was the first hurricane with a male name. I was in Miami where we didn’t get the full force of it. But cities to the north like Fort Lauderdale did get the worst of it.

But, with a name like Big Betty, that was inevitable from the beginning.
