Has anyone actually remember a strip where Earl was even in a car?
Maybe you can steer clear of Opal a little better.
I bet they have taken some of the excitement out of the lives of other drivers too.
Earl had an old studebaker, 1950s era
I think I have been behind him a few times!!
As long as I’m not in FRONT of him.
My father’s first car was a 1951 Studebaker Commander…
Shucks, that takes away the fun of driving.
Scaaary…
There was a recent strip where Opal was sitting in their Studebaker in the grocery store parking lot waiting for Earl adn fuming because he was holding her up. He was at home. She drove to the store alone.
Fuzzy..wuzzy Earl… doesn’t see as fuzzy as he used to
Lucky for the pedestrians!
If he looks into the mirror, he’ll probably notice a lot more wrinkles and nose-hairs, too.
I remember when I first got glasses! I couldn’t believe how clear and detailed everything was! I could suddenly see every individual leaf on trees
