On the other hand, the weather isn’t at all intimidated by Edwin.

I think that Bertha is about ready to kick Edwin out so he and the weather can settle their differences without interfering with her afternoon soaps.

Edwin’s cardboard inserts are misfolded somehow. Maybe that is why he is so grouchy. Just close the curtains, Edwin.

Looks and sounds like an empty threat to me.

Edwin may seem like a snowflake, but when he gets out there he’s a flurry of activity.

Edwin believes that he’s a descendent of King Canute.

Edwin also refuses to acknowledge he is basically bald. He keeps a comb in his back pocket!

Edwin secretly can’t wait to try out that new snow shovel Gertrude gave him for Christmas.

Careful Edwin, I tried that, and the weather has been holding me prisoner in my own home for a week and a half.

Back in my more active sailing days I used to do a similar thing, basically taunting the wind to blow harder. I quit that after being slammed by Typhoon Warren in the middle of the So China Sea in a little 63 foot ketch. Put me right in my place!

No, the weather does not intimidate me. But at o’dark thirty when the doggos have to go in the middle of winter? Let me at least get some clothes and shoes and parka on. Thank dog we have big eaves, and even though they are all adults they can use puppy pads placed outside. And no, you woke me up this morning and I am not going to share my bacon with you today.
