Edna was voted the May Queen 47 years ago, and has been clinging to that crown ever since.

Roger is over and out

The Queen is not amused.

And Sanchez, the dog, is miffed because he usually gets to be the king. As he sees it, Roger has usurped his throne and proceeded to fall asleep on the job. He will be angling with Queen Edna to be reinstalled.

Looking at the Queen’s face, I think Roger is about to get crowned!

Roger retaliates for being led to think he would play Elvis.

Roger had been telling her over and over that he wasn’t into this.

She finally told him to give it a rest.

Obviously we can see the true power in the castle.

She’s just waiting for her prince to arrive. Prince Plumbing is supposed come today between 9am and 4pm to fix the throne.

Roger is having one of his multiple daily naps.

Today, he was scheduled to Knight Knights, and it just went downhill from there…

Being king on Ballard St has become boring since there are no more fair maidens to conquer.

He definitely looks “kinged out” to me. :)

It’s usually the Queen that pretends to have a headache.

Edna now understands not only who has all the power in chess, but why the king never leaves the board.

It never reigns, it snores.

The queen does not look happy. Roger should learn to sleep with one eye open.

Obviously, Roger’s not had any Imperial Margarine lately (you have to be of a certain age tp get that one).

Sanchez and Queen Edna are plotting to dethrone King Roger when he wakes up.Roger, meanwhile dreams of a kingdom that doesnt include HRH Edna, nor Prince Sanchez.
