Red, you should visit the New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo, New Mexico. I was there a few years ago and found it fascinating. It’s as good for adults as it is for kids. Our guide was a long-time advisor to NASA and very knowledgeable.
Went back in the early 70s and now, after retiring to Florida went again. So many new things. The flight simulator is a cool feature….lets you feel what the astronauts feel when launching!
Try to go to the Space Center in Huntsville, Alabama. They have Space Camp, one of each rocket ship ever used, and an amazing gift shop. When one of the last space shuttles had a critical systems failure, they grabbed the functional working parts out of the retired shuttle in their exhibit.

My son and his daughters went to the Space Center last month. His niece was with them. She wants to be an astronaut. God Speed, Amanda Quintanilla.

There’s a common bond there. Maybe you’ll both grow up to serve on the same space flight!

if this comic is supposed to be set in the 1950s (as appears from the furniture and the mother’s hairstyle), Kennedy hadn’t even been president yet.

You will Red, just stay focused and keep on like you are and you will get there I have no doubt. (I know its just a comic)
Maybe that is part of what is wrong with kids today, they have no dreams for the future like being an astronaut. We need to get NASA going again.

I have a blue astronaut’s jumpsuit, picked it up when I was working on the Space Station Freedom (early ’80s) project.
