My first thought was, “Oh shut up, Duffy!” The kid is showing his immaturity. Wally knows that Alan is also more aware of what’s going on in the colony than most of the other residents. He’ll be an asset in whatever it is Wally is planning.
I foresee one potential problem. If they have to escape through the same “gateway” the topsider came through, it might be a tight fit for Alan. They still have to get out the escape hatch. A “rope” ladder made of laundry?

He’s the elephant in the room.

Obviously, Duffy has not learned the value of having a bigger target than yourself to draw first fire in a firefight…
And Duffy, do remember that he is in the comic, just like you…

Duffy is most assuredly an amateur; compared to Wally. His being a “Chosen” may hint at other storylines.

Wally: “Laundry factors into this… because… when we’re done… we’re all going… to need clean underwear!”

Lovely Neathery-esque humour. “We all need to work together to prevent the annihilation of the entire universe. You – Laundry duty.”

And please consider supporting Aaron Neathery through Patreon. It really makes a difference. (Address in the gutter of the artwork above.)

Wally met Mr Rhino……best to bring some size if they try to stop them.

If Kirbee makes any eggs, Alan could hatch them. Elephants can do that, as chronicled in a book by Dr. Ted Geisel.

So, I guess we’re back to the “Once Every Three Days To One Week” schedule, again?
