My weather is about the same as Arthur’s with the bulk of the storm coming through tonight. Quack, Quack! Today’s high 68! The last day of October?
When you live out on a back road you do not see many, if any, Trick or Treaters. When I was a kid my sister and I went down to the village to do our rounds using our grandparents house as a base of operations. Because Albany Village has only four streets (five now) it didn’t take long to do the whole thing.
My day, do I really need to say it? Normal. (^.^).
Oh, yes, sorry David. Tell me have the Astros ever won the series?
A beautiful morning, and we’re out of the single digits. WooHoo!
We’ve never had any kidlettes come out this far. I do miss seeing all the costumes. Most schools run a parking lot trick or treat party. Not the same, but the candy is what the kids are there for. So it’s fun for them.
The sky just turned the clouds the most brilliant pink and orange. The sun will break through in just a few minutes. Sigh.
Today we’re headed out to the local orchard (about 20 miles away at the other (north) end of the valley. They have you-pick apples, cider, and all the stuff you would think to find at an apple orchard business. It’s the last day of their season, so I don’t expect to see much left but it will be fun anyway. It’s supposed to get all the way up to 58, so I’ll wear a jacket.
This is our first Halloween in our new home, so I have no idea how many trick or treaters we will have. Arthur, we don’t have the option of just turning off the front porch light. The porch lights and building lights are all on a separate circuit from the homes and stay on all night. We can’t control them. I did buy a bunch of candy and Michael has kept it hidden from my sticky fingers (pun intended).
The new furniture arrangement is working well. I think we’ll keep it this way.
That blast of cold from the north hit us last night it got down to 28 here and is only up to 30 at 11 am, our projected high today is supposed to be 41. Usually I am sitting with my doors open enjoying the fall weather. Brrrrr.
Had the family over for diner last night because the kids had plans with friends for tonight. I don’t see much happening tonight because of the cold. I stopped handing out candy 2 years ago. We live in a rural subdivision and the last two years I saw less than 10 kids most of them now go to controlled spots. Trunk-or-treat at the park or Fall Fest at a church. Door-to-door has pretty much faded out around here.
I overdid yesterday so I am taking it easy today. Everyone have a wonderful day. ;)

Good morning Vagabonds.Doesn’t look too good for the kids to go trick or treating tonight.
Right now it’s raining and will continue most of the day with it being very windy with strong gust’s at times.
When the kids go out just after supper time it will be raining very heavy.
Some towns are postponing it until Sat. night.
I don’t know if you have that kind of activity.
We don’t bother with it so we just shut off the lights and pretend we are not at home. It’s much easier at our age.
Aren’t we awful?
Have a easy, relaxing night.
