It got up to 50 yesterday and only 41 during the night!!!!!! Now, this is like Autumn should be.
I saw our first migrating Snow Goose yesterday, You can tell them as they fly over by the black patches on the underside of their wings. We have a place called Freeze Out Lake about 100 miles north of us, that they use as a stopping and feeding place on their migration. There are hundreds of thousands at any one time for about 2 weeks.
Nothing new on the home front. So, I’ll wish you all a good day.
I have been inflicted by a power outage, my computer has no access to the internet, the modem doesn’t work. I have found out that my Samsung can access the net right from the source without the modem, but, I’m on battery so I,d better make this quick.
Another beautiful fall day here with the temperature at 61 and the sun is shining brightly. Just another quiet day at home today. Nothing much going on.
We had a full class this morning for Sunday School it always makes it more enjoyable when we are all present and share from our life experiences and how they relate to our lesson.
I have only two clocks that need to be changed by hand (not including wrist watches) and one atomic clock that I flip the “DST” switch to off. Everything else updates by itself.
We had a nice time with the girls yesterday. We went out to the Black Bear Cafe for dinner and Kelsie was amazingly well behaved for a two year old. They will be coming back later today to visit again.
I have two bits of news:
1. I have shingles on my forehead. However, it is a very small patch (only about 2 square inches) and no where else, so I am very blessed. I’ve had it for about a week, but it only really started to hurt last night and this morning so I went to urgent care.
2. I got a phone call from my son Christopher who I gave up for adoption 46 years ago. I’ve never met him or even seen him. He wants to meet and so do I. He even wants to call me “mom”. Apparently he’s been searching for me for 20 years and finally got results from Ancestry.com. I am so completely overwhelmed I don’t know whether to laugh, cry or both.
The weather here is wonderful again – mid 70’s and sunny.
