I was wrong. Marx is the owner. But using “pal” going forward in this situation would be a definite “not on friendly terms” using the Urban slang. Meanwhile……. Wally is going thru an existence crisis all the while reality is collapsing…….and he’s trying to save everyone. Now We know the owner……but who wrote the comic?
So, can we take it that Marx was an ordinary human boy and that the Endtown world and all its denizens are simply products of an over-active imagination?
I’m having a crazy Star Trek “Mirror Universe” vibe (never get raised by science fiction writers and fans kids, you’ll put your eye out, both if you happen to be Raven): Okay, imagine one where the Topsiders are actually the good guys. Raven was one of the interdimensional travelers, like the Topsider a few strips ago, but unlike the Endtown universe, they were seeking to help/preserve the mutants, and find them a safe haven (hence the colony name, “Eden”, also a side plot used in a Star Trek episode). He was trapped in this universe, mutated, but held onto the gloves and goggles as they helped him see when he was blinded somehow.
Shift to the Topsider dimension hopping, she may be on a rescue mission. Note that she wasn’t trying to exterminate the strange bugs, and had no issue with letting them tag along to another dimension. Also using the same map as Raven. Perhaps in their universe, the mutants are the topsiders while the humans are residing in various colonies.
Seeing as Houston was hit hard with flooding, I would not be surprised if it threw off Aaron’s upload schedule. Can’t have internet access if there is no electricity or infrastructure to support it.

Love the send-up of the old Timex Watch ads!
Takes a licking! Keeps on Ticking! – was the slogan.
Wet it! Drop it! – says the ad above.
At least the batteries never needed changing!

Correction Wally, you’re half right. You are living and breathing, but a human being…?

Wally is holding the comic book in plain sight – isn’t it invisible without the goggles?

What we are really learning is how much Aaron Neathery loved comic books when he was a kid ;)

But everyone forgot the most important thing. Is that comic a first edition and can you put it back in its plastic wrapper?
