My comment yesterday included the quote about foxhunting as “one gentleman in red chasing another.” I’ve since remembered that the exact quote was “one gentleman in a red coat chasing the other.”
I don’t know who the quote is from but it’s more subtle than the famous Oscar Wilde quote “The unspeakable in pursuit of the inedible.”
