The last time a neighborhood kid came to my home during the Winter, asking to shovel my drive for cash, was … last century (don’t remember the exact year).
One time there was a big snowstorm. Usually, my husband tries to stay “on top” of storms like that, but this time he decided to wait. A co-worker of his went out every few minutes, shoveling. Eventually, the snow turned to rain and washed all of the snow away. My husband ended up not having to shovel at all, while the co-worker had been, for nothing.
Go for it, Linus. Clear all those walks and drives yourself with just a shovel. See how long it takes you to do so for one drive alone, and see how you feel after clearing every walk and drive in the neighborhood. Just hope for a light snow of powder.
Wonder how the bank interest is never equal to your expectations all the time. Linus can think of other means of investment, maybe real estate or bullion.

Linus is sounding a lot more like his sister than I think he’d care to admit!

Funny how the interest banks give never quite covers the charges they levy on your account…

The real thing is coming! I’m sure that’s just a teaser.

Long before you hoped to win up to $1,000,000 in a state lottery or TV game shows or Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes mailings.

I recall many years ago seeing Linus’s personal check. I thought it was funnier than the strip then. Stilll gets a chuckle now.

“I’m not your sweet baboo!”

Maybe Linus should try making some small investments, save some for retirement, or find a decent financial advisor.
