I know a guy that out of touch with his own body. His family keeps takes him to emergency room/hospital or he’d have killed himself with neglect years ago.

When I was in high school one of my ears got frostbitten at the bus stop. When I got to school the ear felt funny. I bent it and I heard a crack. California boy meets the Midwest.

maybe he’s got raynaud’s syndrome, also known as “cold allergy.” it’s all sorts of fun to watch your fingers turn white (and then blue in extreme cases) as you lose all sensation. in my case, the slightest drop in temperature can trigger it…
