“I am a hero who never fails! I can’t be bothered by those details.” Underdog And if you get that reference you’re old.

I remember Marvel having an insurance company that handled damages by superheroes vs. supervillains.

Of course it ignored the Marvel dynamic. When two DC heroes met for the first time they became BFFs and started a team. When two Marvel heroes met for the first time they started beating the carp out of each other.

Man! If fights between superheroes and supervillains are that destructive, how are our major cites still standing?!

Yeah, Hollywood loves to destroy buildings. Not cities per se, but definitely buildings. I have a theory. Japan came up with Godzilla, who destroyed a good part of a city. I thought, “Maybe this is because of the Bombs.” So, perhaps Hollywood’s “obsession” is because of 9/11…

Marvel had a comic in the 90s called ‘Damage Control’ (created by the late, great Dwayne McDuffie—I hope I spelled that right), which focused on a team tasked to clean up after such battles.

Tip of the day: never live in a city that is home to kaiju or superheroes.

Insurance rates in the DC and Marvel universes are surprisingly high.
