“Scáth” (alternatively “sgáth”) is an Irish word meaning “shade/shadow” and/or “horror/dread” (also “shyness”). An appropriate arch-nemesis for Ms. Amazement.
Her headdress/crown is also reminiscent of Marvel’s Hela, or the Norse goddess Hel, which according to your version makes her either Tyr’s niece (through Loki), or his older sister (assuming Tyr exists in the MCU).
