This is reminiscent of a Charles Addams cartoon showing the movie theater crowd. Everyone is crying except for an Uncle Fester-ish character who’s clearly amused.
One of the more interesting fossils in the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology is a huge fish with the intact skeleton of a smaller fish inside of it.
It didn’t even get to digest it’s dinner before dying and being preserved in stone.
Those fishes demonstrate trophic levels. In real biology, they start off with one-celled plants, progress through many levels to apex predators, and then go back to fungi and one-celled microbes.
