There is no help for aging, unless you die before you get there. These are called Senior Moments and they happen to everybody after age 50, or after age 60, if you’re lucky. Just you wait, one day too, you will forget to undo your seatbelt before getting out of the car. Or completely forget where you were going and why. Or forget your friend-you’ve-known-forever’s name.
Remember it is not where you put your keys (ice cream etc.), but when you can’t remember WHAT your keys (ice cream etc.) is for that you better tell your Doctor!
What everyone is saying is true. The other night I saw a Law & Order episode titled “Sundown”. It was about a man who has alzheimer’s who killed his wife because she was going to leave him. The two ADAs were discussing with the psychiatrist about the case. The psychiatrist said that in 20 years when the baby boomers get old, present company included, we won’t be able to take care of them if and when they develop alzheimer’s. Not a direct quote. FYI This week, I was reading a comic strip called Funky Winkerbean in which a character was killed in an auto accident which was diagnosed with CTE. If anybody’s interested, it is drawn by Tom Batiuk and distributed by North American Syndicate. Sorry to be Donny Downer. Have an enjoyable weekend.
