For a while I was required to take business trips to the Bay Area. Per diem was $25/day for dinner. I always ate at In-n-Out because of the great burgers. Accounting was perplexed at the small expense. Luxury rental car, Sofitel Hotel and In-n-Out.
Like HoosierPoet, I find myself inexplicably captivated by today’s Cornered. It almost reads like the tagline to an exceptional indie film, chocked with bittersweet pathos. I want to know Roland’s story.

His “streets” are certainly not paved with gold.

I’ve been down that road before.

Roland should consider himself lucky. To have a road trip where nothing goes wrong is rare.

Obviously not going to the right places. Try the middle of St. Louis or Chicago – there is always a lot happening!
