No they have spotters. Snipers are the shooters.

Porcupine quills are basically modified hair. Porcupines can’t shoot them; they just can come loose easily. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porcupine#Quills Most porcupines tend to spend most of their time in or near trees.

Over a year ago my puppy (now healthy young dog, thank you) got a cactus needle stuck shallowly in his nose, and I decided to pull it out myself, instead of taking him to the vet. It was just one, straight needle, but the look on his face hurt me as much as the removal must have hurt him. Vets have things like lidocaine.

OK – we need a GoFuundMe site for colored markers – they seem to have run out of ink.

Never heard that tale before. I do know when I lived on a farm in VT my St. Bernard would occasionally come home with Porcupine quills stuck on his face and body. You can’t just pull them out. They have hooks on the end like a fish hook. Had to take him to the vet each time. It was the dogs fault for being to curious I suppose. Poor Porcupine…the dog probably scared it to death!

Did he allow for the wind ? I’m sure Will always has lots of wind.

By the look in the second panel, he also left a “present” in the grass too
