Actually, I don’t think it’s sad at all. I’m not a huge fan of selfies, but I can tell you that when sorting through old pictures, the interesting ones contain “people”. The ones with just landscape or buildings go in the trash. Pictures of the Eiffel Tower are a dime a dozen, but pictures of friends at the Eiffel Tower are priceless.

I have two family members who do this. Go on vacations, shoot selfies and you can see what’s around them. The selfies are all about them.
