I once politely asked a pair of battling raccoons to break it up and take it somewhere else as people were trying to sleep. I also told them that if they didn’t leave, I’d take a broomstick to them. I guess I sounded sufficiently violent – they waddled off our deck and Paul and I went back to sleep.

Hi, honey, I’m home! Went to Nashville for a “guys weekend” with my father and brother. Travel tip: the Opryland Hotel is way overrated. And very expensive. But it’s the perfect place to stay if you want to make sure you hit 10,000 steps every day. However, I did come home to find that my daily delivery of the Raleigh News and Observer has started (first time I’ve had a newspaper subscription since leaving Denver) and it even carries BCN!

Also, anywhere else I hang out on the internet, Panel 3 would lead to an immediate recitation of the dialogue in the Black Knight scene from “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.”
