The reason for all the male animal ’toon stars is because the creators were male. You write what you know.

Many years ago I had the good fortune to see the great Chuck Jones give a lecture followed by a by a marathon of all his work at the George Eastman House. The toons were even more awesome on the big screen.

Some people think Bugs Bunny is a girl. Think about it — you usually see Bugs in the usual cartoon animal unisex look — not wearing clothes, so you can’t tell if Bugs is male or female — but when Bugs dresses up, it’s nearly always as a glamorous sexy girl.

A lot of real-life human girls are like that. They usually slop around in unisex jeans and a T-shirt, but once in a while they dress up and they’re hardly recognizable!
