Don’t the mother and father get a say in naming the child?

All that Lucy tells Linus here-especially what she tells him in the first panel-I can JUST picture Rodrick telling little brother wimpy kid Greg just that(in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies), and being that he’s supposed to be four or five years older than Greg, all the more reason for him to lord it over little bro Greg the way Lucy lords it over little bro Linus. Anyway, then Roderick would tell Greg,”YOU spoiled my chance to be an only child..” concluding with them getting their baby brother Manny, or a “rerun” of a little brother for Roderick(because that’s how this Peanuts character got his name, being a “rerun” of a little brother for Lucy, instead of the sister she was hoping for this time.)
