Snoopy and Woodstock walk along.<BR><BR> A leaf drifts down as they walk.<BR><BR> "!": the leaf falls on Woodstock's head.<BR><BR> He stands there.<BR><BR> "!" he cries, looking off to one side.<BR><BR> "?" Snoopy turns around to look.<BR><BR> He removes the leaf from Woodstock's head.<BR><BR> He tosses it away as Woodstock watches.<BR><BR> They wallk past another leaf.<BR><BR> Woodstock hurries away from it, glancing backwards as he goes. [PANEL 11]: "'Fear of falling leaves'... When we get home, I'll have to look that one up..." thinks Snoopy as they continue walking.<BR><BR>

When you’re that small, I’d think a leaf could be pretty intimidating. The strange thing is that he’s not afraid of the football!

It was a falling leaf that first drew my attention to “Peanuts” as something a bit different than a ‘’cute kids’’ strip, waaay back in 1955. A falling leaf lands on Linus’s head and he looks up at the tree and says ‘’Hi.’’ I had recently learned the word ’’pantheism’’ in a philosophy class and here it was in a comic strip! I’ve been a fan ever since.
