I just stopped by to thank you again for the mink stole you gave me for Christmas."<BR><BR> Schroeder replies, "I did not give you a mink stole for Christmas!"<BR><BR> Schroeder tumbles in the air. Lucy shouts, "I'll say you didn't!"<BR><BR>

A mink stole ist a stole made of mink fur.
- A #mink# is a small wild animal with thick shiny fur, a long body and short legs. Mink are often kept on farms for their fur, the skin and shiny brown fur of the mink is often used for making expensive coats or stoles
- A #stole# is a piece of clothing consisting of a wide band of cloth or fur, worn by woman around the shoulders, they are very expensive

Mink farming is cruel, apart from the coronavirus spread (which I guess did not concern them in 1972). I hope Schroeder would never consider such a gift regardless of Lucy being Lucy.

I find it wierd how in this strip she has to ring the doorbell to his house, but other times she can automatically enter in his house without zero explanation. This strip makes no sense at all sometimes
