That’s gotta be the worst thing to happen to anyone, ever.

Patty and Peppermint Patty in the same panel? I won’t stand for this.

Well, Linus, considering this whole thing was YOUR IDEA, in the FIRST PLACE, and considering you’ve gotten this far, as far as the place for the dinner itself, you might as well GO ON AHEAD WITH IT, so as not to make it seem like you did all this, and came all this way FOR NOTHING. Yet, you, too, like Marcie, are coming right out and admitting, that it’s “ALL HYPOCRITICAL.” SHAME ON YOU.

I must admit, it seems strange to me,too, to see Patty and "Peppermint"Patty in the same cartoon(and even Peppermint Patty and Violet in the same cartoon, for that matter.) Of course, it was right around this time, when the “revelation”,or “turnover”, (call it what you will)of certain Peanuts characters, was taking place.(getting at the fact, that both Peppermint Patty and Marcie had each just recently joined the strip, and some of the earlier “minor” characters, like Patty, Violet, and Frieda, were starting to appear less often.)

I thought the testimonial dinner was for his being a DEDICATED manager, not a good one.

The only time Peppermint Patty met both Violet and the original Patty. A changing of the guard, I suppose, as Patty and Violet began to appear less frequently while both Peppermint Patty and Marcie (along with Franklin and Rerun) start to appear more frequently.

And Joe Shablotnik (sp?) didn’t show up, either.

Don’t feel too bad CB, at least Woodstock is still at your party. I wouldn’t mind having a party with him. I love root beer!

Just wow. Schultz did a really bad job with this. This is collective cruelty on a grand scale.

Poor Chuck! Comes on on the short end again, even at his own testimonial dinner, being the only one in attendance. Sad.

What the heck, Linus? You’re supposed to be Charlie Brown’s best friend! And even Lucy doesn’t wanna cancel! The more I think about it, the more this strip fills me with rage.

The fact that cb would do anything for each of them individually if they needed him even thought almost all of them bully him and yet they STILL cant even give him a dinner fills me with RAGE! Plus he was so excited for the dinner especially since it’s not common for cb to even get anything, and when he finally does get something it gets canceled bc it’s all “hypocritical”, Schulz did a bad job on this strip >:(

I think this is the only time both Pattys appeared on-panel together.
