Yay Marcie!

Awesome is RIGHT—Marcie FINALLY gave Thibault his JUST DESERTS! And you really cannot blame her, after the way he had treated her—his treatment of her really did border on PREJUDICE, or DISCRIMINATION. Of course, though he is unaware of Peppermint Patty’s gender, still, he did discriminate against HER,TOO—really, Patty really should have come to Marcie’s aid, for the both of them.

Whoa. That was awesome.

I wonder if Marcie still would have hit Thibalult, if he had said, say,“Oh, you are?”(going to hit him, as that would have been more than one word, of course.) Makes you wonder if what she tells him in Panel 3, is supposed to be interpreted as LITERALLY one word, or “so much as one word.” Still, it would make sense, in either case, that she would have hit him.

Girls have it all but we can’t defend ourselves. mmmm

I gotta say, Marcie must have one heck of a left hook if she was able to knock that kid back with one punch.

Right around this time 50 years ago! This strip appears on today’s date on this year’s Peanuts desk calendar!(Tuesday, 8/1/2023.) 50 years have now come and gone since Marcie gave Thibault his “just desserts” and we saw pretty much the last of him since! WAY TO GO, MARCIE! Over the 50th anniversary, HIP, HIP, HOORAY!!!
