On Snoopy's doghouse a curtain hangs, and a sign reads, Next Show 1:00 PM.<BR><BR> Snoopy performs with hand puppets as Charlie Brown and Lucy watch.<BR><BR> He continues to act out plays with his hand puppets.<BR><BR> Lucy says, "You know what?"<BR><BR> "What?" says Charlie Brown, as Snoopy dances around on the doghouse. He now has three puppets.<BR><BR> "Six hours is a long time to stand here.."<BR><BR> "That's true." agrees Charlie Brown. Snoopy waves his puppets.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown adds, "But where else are you going to see 'War and Peace' performed with hand puppets?" Snoopy struggles with four puppets.<BR><BR>

“War and Peace” was among Charles Schulz’s favorite books, and he would often reference the work in the strip as well as in the TV special “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown”.
