The only times Marcie did not call Peppermint Patty “sir”, were when Marcie would refer to Patty in third person, like here.(Panel One, where she actually says Peppermint Patty’s name.)

There was an earlier strip where Marcie didn’t call Peppermint Patty sir until she said something along the lines of, “Notice how I didn’t call you sir.”
