You know, it’s weird that a cartoon character thinks of stuff like this, but it’s even weirder that Schulz apparently really thought this way!

And another clever demonstration, of how our language is FULL of homophones; here, the two words which are both pronounced (ayt)-the number, spelled eight, and past tense of eat, spelled ate. Or make that THREE words pronounced this way(the third being another way to say “hate”, with a silent h, as Charlie Brown does in last panel.)
