Peppermint Patty sits in a beanbag and talks into the phone. She says, "How can I do a report on Hannibal, Marcie? I've never heard of him!"<BR><BR> Marcie talks into the phone and says, "Run down to the library, sir, and look him up in the encyclopedia . . . That's what I did . ."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty replies, "Maybe it'll snow tomorrow, and all the schools will be closed . ."<BR><BR> Marcie says, "Good night, sir!"<BR><BR>

It can snow in May? Ha,ha; yes, I know that’s Patty’s way of desperately hoping for a way of getting out of being given hell by their teacher, for not doing her report.

And what Marcie says in closing panel, is one of those ways of telling the other person,“That’s your problem, so-and-so, and you’re the one who has to deal with it, not me! Now goodbye, and good luck!”
