Snoopy and Woodstock sit on the doghouse. Lucy says, "Listen to me you stupid beagle."<BR><BR> Lucy shouts, "Tell your stupid friend that if he wakes me up again at five in the morning with his stupid chirping, I'm gonna punch his stupid beak!"<BR><BR> Lucy walks away.<BR><BR> Snoopy looks at Woodstock and thinks, "How's your noon chirping?"<BR><BR>

Tell Woodstock YOURSELF, Lucy—he’s RIGHT THERE, right behind Snoopy! But then, knowing Lucy, perhaps she really did mean to threaten Snoopy, as well-in this case, because Snoopy was Woodstock’s steadfast companion, and so she would have used that as an excuse to threaten to hurt Snoopy , as well, for being "responsible"for Woodstock being careless about the time of day, to do his chirping.

“REALLY, you stupid beagle! Tell your stupid friend he’d better watch when he does his chirping, IF he knows WHAT”S GOOD for him, and for YOU, TOO!" Just “Lucy being Lucy, for you”—don’t do or say ANYTHING to cross her, in general, on the peril of your well-being and safety.
