Lucy sits on the floor. Linus talks into the phone and says, "Hello, Sally? I just called to find out how your brother is . . ."<BR><BR> Sally talks into the phone and says, "I suppose you thought I'd think you were calling to ask me to go to the movies!"<BR><BR> Sally continues, "Well, I didn't!! And I wouldn't go to the movies with you now even if you asked me, so there!"<BR><BR> Lucy stands in front of Linus and says, "Well, how is he?" Linus holds the phone at his side and asks, "How is who?"<BR><BR>

Sally, Linus told you why he was calling, so why don’t you just answer his question? Also, I’ve often wondered, was this the first time Sally talked to Linus(him, per se), since October 13, 1978, when she made that obscene call to him,(for favoring Eudora over her), and wishing a nervous breakdown on him? I mean, all he was calling about, was to ask about Sally’s big brother, and what did he get? An EARFUL on something totally irrelevant.

Of course, if this HAD been the first time Linus had even ATTEMPTED to talk to Sally, since the aforementioned date, even if to ask about Charlie Brown, it just FIGURES she would still yell at him, about something TOTALLY IRRELEVANT, even if she really always WAS killing Linus with kindness, so to speak, before.
