Lucy holds a football on the ground. Charlie Brown and Linus stand on either side of her. Charlie Brown says, "You hold the ball, and I'll come running up and kick it."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown holds up his finger and says, "Remember, you promised that if I got well, you'd never pull the football away again."<BR><BR> Lucy holds the football and asks, "Can't I change my mind?" Charlie Brown replies, "No, you can't break a promise to a sick friend."<BR><BR> Linus points at Lucy and says, "Ha! Now, what are you gonna do?" Lucy says, "Quiet! I'm thinking!"<BR><BR>

This was a first, not only for Lucy’s break from tradition, but that all the previous pulling-the-football-away strips were Sundays.
