In Flanders fields the poppies blowBetween the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, flyScarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days agoWe lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who dieWe shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.
A HUGE Thank You to all who serve our Country. And especially to our own Chris for making sure our country is safe!
Last year, Jack was being released from his hospital stay (hip replacement), and was being wheeled under the clock in the corridor at exactly 11:11 a.m. When I excitedly called his attention to this he was very excited about the moment. However, the male nurse, who was about 25 had no clue that there was such a thing as the Armistice signing on 11/11 at 11:11. I guess now a days November 11 is just a day to go shopping.
It was a positive 0.1 this morning, after having a 17 degree high yesterday. Lots of snow fell. It’ll probably melt by Friday when it’s supposed to be 56. Polar Coaster!
A big thank you to all those who served in our armed forces, wartime or not. I have several family members who served in the Civil war, WWI & II and the cold war. I am proud of each and every one of them.
And so begins another week. Bible study and card game today, though Michael might not make it tonight. His ankle is really acting up right now. He’s in a lot of pain and he can barely walk. Prayers would be appreciated.
It got a bit cooler than usual last night, but nothing like what you guys are experiencing. Stay warm, my friends.

Good morning Vagabonds
Armistice Day, Veterans Day 2019.
Snow storm coming (sob), I guess it’s going to hit us just like last year when the snow came in November. Spring, where for art thou.
Monday, nothing much happening, try to get that snow blower going.
Have a good and blessed day all.
