Pigpen walks along with a sheet of paper in his hand.<BR><BR> He sits at the table, pen in his mouth, pondering what to write.<BR><BR> He starts to write.<BR><BR> He walks off with an envelope in tow.<BR><BR> He places the envelope in the mail<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty walks towards the mailbox.<BR><BR> She looks inside the mailbox.<BR><BR> She looks at the envelope.<BR><BR> She opens the envelope.<BR><BR> She looks at the reader as a cloud of dust comes out.<BR><BR>

And that’s the last we ever see or hear of the Peppermint Patty/Pig-Pen romance. It’s a shame that Schulz abandoned it so soon and so abruptly.
